AIA Importance of Standards on the A&D industry - Rusty Rentsch

Assistant Vice President Technical Operations with the Aerospace Industries Association,supporting the AIA Technical Operations Council and the E-Business Steering Group and their Committees, which includes the AIA Product Support and Engineering Management Committees. Actively participates and represents industry with various government groups such as:

 

the Joint Aeronautics Logistic Commanders (JALC); Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages Working Group (DMSMS); and the Joint Council on Aging Aircraft (JCAA).

 

Is a member of the AIA-ASD-ATA S1000D Council and is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)- H35 Committee for Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys.



 
 

Has over 18 years of experience in both commercial and military aerospace industry sectors including: Technical Support Engineering and Commercial positions with Messier-Services Inc.;


Customer Support Engineering and Design Engineering with Textron Lycoming. Held product marketing management positions in both the Telecommunications industry and the Transportation Industry. Has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from George Mason University and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. Currently resides in the Leesburg, VA with his wife Anya, his son Nicholas.
